The dust begins to blow!

Just like that, all of the lovely desserts have been poured and are currently resting to finish their cures and harden into timeless sweet treats. 

Although real desserts are lame, go stale, and definitely do not roll very well after sitting for a while (not speaking from experience), these desserts get to mingle with the rest of their pals in flavor-sorted containers patiently waiting for the next step...

Sanding!

The next phase of the process is a hand sanding touch-up to make sure flashing and mold lines are as minimally seen and felt as possible. Every dice will be inspected by Pan (as his hands hold up a bit better to repetitive motions) before being passed over to me for the next step. Sanding will take a solid month but then come the polishing and inking stages, meaning your dice-erts are nearly ready to head home!

Finally, we do have an update for One Page Mage’s PDF. Let's hear directly from the fantastic creator himself on what you can expect from this awesome campaign!

"Sweets of the Odious Cookery PDF news: 

I'm incredibly excited about sharing the final product with everyone, but unfortunately, the schedule slipped into January. There are two main causes for the delay.   

First is that I am putting every effort into creating a professionally designed and formatted product, and I underestimated how quickly I could use my existing templates. The one-page style I'm used to didn't have quite enough set up for chapters, sections, stat blocks and more, so I'm filling out that toolbox as I go.   

Second is that I'm very excited to say that this adventure can be run at *three* different levels! I know that groups enjoy a variety of playstyles, and simply writing a single, low-level one-shot didn't feel like it would do this story justice. I made a recent adjustment so that when all is done, you will be able to run this for a party of level 3, 6, or 10! You could even run it at each of those levels with the same group and get some fresh replay value out of it. It's almost like having 3 adventures now instead of one!  

I'm working as quickly as I can to get everything into the layout and finalize edits so that when you play with your groups, you'll have a quality module to run. I can't wait to share it with you, and appreciate it so much for your patience!

Short and Sweet!

Hello lovely dessert enthusiasts! This will be a shorter update since there are no hiccups to report and production is scooting right along.

We only have about 7 days left of pouring to get all sets, d20's and chonks done. Then the real work begins as we start sanding and polishing everyone's orders and double-checking that the patterns and colors are up to snuff. Everything is going swimmingly on our end. Everything being good on our end means everything is going well for all of you too.

For those of you who are waiting on just the PDF by OnePageMage, it is looking to be in our hands by the end of the year! If that information changes you will be the first to know! 

January's update will most likely include pics of our fantabulous organizational system and possibly a not so organized BIG OL' PILE O DICE just for that added shock value.

Recap and production updates!

Hello, denizens of the dessert realm!

The time has come for the dramatic hand gestures POST-SURVEY RECAP!!!  

Since nearly all of you fine folks have submitted your preferred desserts, we have compiled some interesting statistical morsels along with what progress has already been made.  

- First off, blueberry cheesecake is tied with strawberry cheesecake so I am reasonably confident to say that blueberry still won. The jury is still out on if we were accidentally transported to an alternate dimension though because it shouldn’t even have been close.  

- Peach Bourbon cheesecake, Turtle cheesecake, and Kaboom ice cream are in a three-way tie for first place for total sets sold.

- Triple Chocolate mousse gave Turtle cheesecake a heckuva fight in the "battle of the flavor classics" in the d20 department with a whopping score of 9-10. So close, mousse!  

- Ice cream and cheesecake were neck and neck for the total dice ordered with cheesecake ultimately being the winner in total individual d20s (35 of them!) and ice cream winning total sets with 42- as the universe intended.  What we have learned from this is that those who love cheesecake only need a small portion and those who love ice cream go big or go home!

- The mighty mousses bring up the rear but they aren’t bothered by that. Fun fact- pumpkin spice makes up nearly a third of all mousse orders because of course it did.  If that's not a meme, I dunno what is lol

- The final tidbit that really blew our minds is that gem d4s were overwhelmingly the d4 of choice across the board. For all of you who chose caltrops over gems and bucked the trend, we see you and hope never to get on your bad side to avoid you “accidentally” letting us step on it followed by a very half-hearted “oh that’s where I left it”.  

Now that we've concluded the survey stats wrap-up, let's talk about dice-making!

We do have some exciting news concerning the progress being made on all your delicious dice. All of the LTE Cherries are poured and prepped for the next stage of completion. 

We have also poured all of the following:  

• Triple Chocolate Mousse (75% complete)
• Turtle Cheesecake (100% complete)
• Blueberry Cheesecake (100% complete)
• Pumpkin Spice Mousse (50% complete)
• Autumn Harvest Mousse (25% complete)
• Dark Chocolate Matcha Cheesecake (75% complete)
• Mermaid's Retreat Mousse (25% complete)
• Melon Medley Mousse (50% complete)
• Super Kaboom Ice cream (40% complete)
  

We even found these fantastic little chests to not only store but also color code our progress. Unfortunately, the urge at the very end to put all the dice together in one messy pile might still be too much to overcome but for now each dessert shalt not toucheth another.  

The next couple weeks will be continuing to pour and the nice thing is we can start to rough sand the sets that have been poured now while the new pours are being done. It’s all in the master plan.

Hello, fellow sweet-toothers!

As we approach the end survey deadline we just wanted to touch base with all of you amazing people and let you know what we have been doing on our end.

First, cherry dice are being made and we are nearly halfway done with pouring those bad boys. Since we know everyone will be receiving at least one that’s an easy project to knock out as we wait for surveys to roll in. We have also begun to pour mousse dice since they take the most time to get done, what with being three separate pours to achieve a crisp layering effect.

With that being said, we do have a few surveys that need to be filled out and we want to remind everyone that if they are not filled out by OCTOBER 15th your pledge will get moved to the end of the line behind the completed surveys. This means your rewards may take a bit longer to reach you so get those surveys completed peeps! 

If you are having issues while filling out your survey or never received an email from BackerKit, reach out to us and we can help get you all sorted!

Just so you are aware, if you added extras to your pledge that were more than your original KS amount, you will be charged by BackerKit for those items on October 22nd- one week after the surveys are locked. A big shoutout to everyone who has been ordering chonks and extra goodies! You are all super sweet!

If you only pledged for the PDF campaign by OnePageMage, I will be sending it out to you via a BakerKit email once I have received the final product for it. PLEASE double-check to make sure that the email I have on file is correct so that you can get your adventure!

Hello, lovely peeps! 

I know that you are all as excited as we are to get your yummy (but inedible) dice. That means we had to do some hard work behind the scenes to get all those options ready for you to choose! After multiple hours- and one, unfortunate mishap causing lost work *sob* -... The time has come for surveys to go out!

The Smoke Screen test will be heading out to 5% of the backers today and if those all go well, the rest of the surveys will head out by the weekend! Please keep a lookout for an email from BackerKit!

Keep in mind, that the deadline to fill out your survey will be October 15th, 2022. This will make sure that we can get started on all your delicious dice-erts as soon as possible. The optimistic plan is to send off rewards in early 2023!

Didn't get any physical rewards? No worries! You will still get a survey to make sure that the email address is correct so that once the PDF is in my hands, I can send it off to you lovely peeps (hopefully by November 2022).

Did you or your friend miss out on the Kickstarter? NEVER FEAR! You can also still preorder some sweet dice once surveys are sent out until October 15th as well!
